Nursing Advice - Wounds

Wound-Stage 1

Wound-Stage 1

Skin is red and skin layers are cracking or there is mild tearing of the skin. Easiest to treat at this stage, keep clean & make sure there is not constant pressure on the skin, as that causes blood flow/ oxygen & nutrients from getting to the area.

Wound-Stage 2

Wound-Stage 1

Multiple layers of skin are torn and the top parts of fatty tissue under the skin called subcutaneous tissue are also involved and broken down and injured. These injuries occur from a lack of blood flow/ oxygen and nutrients getting to that tissue.

Wound-Stage 3

All layers of skin are gone, many subcutaneous layers are injured & missing from lack of blood flow & nutrients. Stage 3 looks like there is a whole in the area. When wounds have bone involvement, it becomes Stage 4 which is not shown due to the graphic nature of the wound.

Vitamin C Maximizes Healing

Vitamin C is a natural anti-inflammatory molecule in our bodies and along with amino acids are vital to increase the rate of healing in our bodies. It is important that people with wounds or recovering from surgery or with chronic illness, that they consume both.

Diet Promotes Healing

Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. These molecules come together to form proteins. Your body uses them for many important functions. It is important that people with wounds or recovering from surgery or with chronic illness, that they consume both.

Healing Bed Sores/ Decubitus Wounds

Keeping area clean & free of pressure & allowing maximum blood flow to the area, these wipes are made with latest technology which are shown to rapidly increase rates of healing all stages, not requiring a dressing and/or surgery.
